Levey Group Recognized as Change Champion for Northwest Houston
HOUSTON, TEXAS, June 20, 2013 – Levey Group was recognized by the Near Northwest Management District as a “Change Champion” for their Northwest Place Industrial Park development.
“We are so pleased to have this new development by Levey Group,” declared District President Wayne Norden. “This is a great asset to our commercial sector.” Joe Mayer, CFO with Levey Group, in accepting the award said, “The Levey Group has been an active investor in the Northwest area for many years. David R. Ebro, President of Levey Group, Helen Dreyfus, Property & Operations Manager, and Tessa Pearson, Executive Assistant, along with Wayne Norden, President of the Near Northwest Management District, met at Northwest Place Industrial Park to place the “Change Champion” pennant on June 20, 2013. “Northwest Houston is Harris County’s most densely populated submarket. This has resulted in a very robust industrial market that has treated the industrial development community well with steadily climbing rental rates, low vacancy and consistently strong demand.,” said David Ebro President of Levey Group. “We take great pride in the quality, functionality and aesthetic appeal of what we build”.
“Change Champions” are commercial property owners or businesses that are fueling the transformation of the Near Northwest Area through improvement to their property. The award is given quarterly, and was announced at the District’s Business Network Breakfast on June 6th.
The Near Northwest Management District’s recent Livable Centers Study made a number of recommendations for improving the livability and values of the area. The District has seen a growth in commercial and residential values, and has attracted $100M in new developments and redevelopments in the District.
About the Change Champion Award
The award is made each quarter by the NNMD. Award winners are recognized at the District’s Business Network Breakfast, and are presented a commemorative plaque. The “Change Champion” pennant is displayed on the property throughout that quarter.
